Bookkeeper – The Role

Our bookkeepers are pivotal to the success and servicing of our clients, and we feel that having a good bookkeeper is fundamental to most businesses and should not be undervalued.

More than just crunching numbers and filing returns, our bookkeepers work closely with our clients to ensure they have a great basis of information to work from and with the rest of our team to help them grow their businesses and keep focused on the figures.

Although an outsourced service to our clients, it is all about relationship, so much so our bookkeepers don’t just feel part of our team, but the clients’ team and business as well.

So, what makes a good bookkeeper?

• Attention to detail.
• Experience of Xero and QuickBooks (other software also preferable) – full support will be given by our team to make sure you know all the features to help our clients.
• A willingness to look past just the process and review ways that could make things better for our clients.
• Good communication as you will be liaising directly with the team and clients.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Experience of VAT and CIS – full support will be given to make sure you are aware of current legislation and any relevant changes.
